Sales & Operation Planning Specialist

As an S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) planner you are responsible for aligning demand and supply plans to optimize resources and meet organizational goals.
You facilitate the S&OP process by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing data, and ensuring that plans are feasible and profitable. This involves activities like demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and financial reconciliation.
Your Responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility for operational and strategic demand and supply planning within the S&OP process
- Development, analysis, and continuous improvement of 12-month rolling forecasts and consumption models based on market trends, historical data, and opportunity pipelines
(Salesforce) - Inventory and safety stock management to ensure high service levels and optimized inventory turnover (ITO)
- Close collaboration with Market Organizations and Production Planning to prioritize critical orders and align demand with production capacities
- Interface between Market Organizations and Operations to escalate urgent orders, identify long lead time products, and defi ne appropriate stock levels
- Monitoring and reporting of key KPIs related to forecast accuracy, service level, inventory, and supply performance including trend analysis and variance explanation
- Active participation and facilitation of S&OP meetings, cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
- Support in product launches and SAP S/4HANA implementation to ensure proper integration into S&OP processes
Your Profile
- University degree in engineering or commercial fields such as finance and economics
- Experience in production and supply chain planning
- Experience in sales planning and order handling
- Strong communication and leadership skills, managing multiple stakeholders with different and sometimes contradicting interests
- Strong cultural awareness and being able to connect and communicate effectively with people from different cultures and countries
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems like SAP; Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce
