Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
Environmental Information Clear and Comparable

What is an EPD?
Today, customers expect reliable information about the sustainability of products. In addition to performance and quality, environmental aspects are increasingly coming into focus. An important foundation for this is the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
An EPD is a standardized Type III environmental declaration for construction products in accordance with ISO 15804 and 14025. The calculations are based on the life cycle assessment method. It transparently shows the environmental impacts a product causes throughout its entire life cycle—from manufacturing to disposal

Why are EPDs important?
EPDs make it possible to objectively compare products with the same function—even across different manufacturers. They are prepared according to established guidelines and are typically reviewed and verified by independent bodies. As a result, the environmental information they contain is reliable, standardized, and internationally recognized.

Transparency as Added Value
For customers, Environmental Product Declarations provide a clear and understandable overview of environmental impacts. They make sustainability measurable and comparable—and build trust through transparent data.

Going forward, CELLPACK will systematically create Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for selected and prioritized product groups. These standardized environmental product declarations provide transparent and comparable environmental data across a product’s entire life cycle.
We use the insights gained to identify specific areas for action. Based on the detailed environmental data, we develop measures that help us continuously reduce our environmental impact—from material selection and production to the use of our products.
With this structured approach, we not only create greater transparency for our customers but also actively advance our long-term sustainability strategy.
